Law Of Attraction: How It’s Changed My Life

Hi all!

Within this past year, my life has done a complete 180. I am definitely a different person than I was before, living a different life, and being the best me I can be. I’m almost 99% positive I owe this new-found change to The Law Of Attraction. Some of you might be asking, “What is The Law Of Attraction”? Well, If you aren’t familiar with this term I can explain a little!

The Law Of Attraction to me, is the idea that we can attract the things we want in life through attitude, mindset, and goals. Examples of this could be anything from a promotion at work, getting the new car you wanted, or even efforts towards a healthier lifestyle. Health, wealth, and happiness are just a handful of things this method of living can bring you. Because I’ve had so much success with this, I thought I’d share my biggest tips in turning your days around for the better. With that said, let’s get into it!

Finding Our Desires 

A huge part of the Law Of Attraction is figuring out why we want a change. Is there a reason we are trying to make a difference in our life? We need to identify the problem before we can move onto fixing it. For myself, this was lack of motivation and the wanting to be my own boss!

I hated living a life where my work seemed forced. It made me unhappy and uninterested in getting up every morning. Some days it felt like there was no point! My personality started to spiral and I quickly knew I had to take action. A change needed to be made.

Visualization 

Visualizing what we want to achieve is key to a perfect path using manifestation. You have to really concentrate on what you want your achievements to be and think about how you’re going to get there. I like to do this by setting my screen savers to inspirational quotes or of destinations I would someday like to visit. It’s a constant reminder that there are bigger things to look forward to.

Another way I visualize is by creating vision boards and keeping journals or planners. I take some time each day to regroup myself into believing that writing things down and seeing it on paper will catapult the real deal to happen.

There are hints the universe gives us each day that we either choose to pick up on or not. The truth, is that there are so many great opportunities out there waiting for us. Often times we’re just not in the right place, mentally or physically, to take them. Set aside any doubt, fear, or lack of motivation and force yourself to look for these hidden opportunities!

In my instance, my job search was going nowhere. I was getting call backs from companies but they were office jobs at places I wasn’t crazy about! I thought to myself, “If only I could create my own brand“. With that idea in mind, I chose to open my eyes to the resources around me and kickstart my dreams.

Take Action

It can be easy to quickly slip out of a good mood or get distracted. If we are not focused on the end result our minds will browse onto other, unimportant, things. What I sometimes find myself doing is trying so hard to make something perfect that I end up not doing it at all. The reality of it is that continuing to procrastinate or intentionally not doing things because they’re not perfect, will cause a bigger setback. Stop thinking about what it can’t be and start thinking about what it could be! Look ahead!

Now, I’m in full control of my own destiny. I don’t take things so seriously anymore and continue to live a life full of mistakes as well as accomplishments. I’ve also stopped worrying so much about my work being perfect and began concentrating more on doing my best! My blog, social platforms, and other aspects of my life have been transformed into something totally great due to this new change! I couldn’t be happier!

What Drinking More Water Did To Me

So the last couple weeks I’ve done somewhat of an experiment. Let me explain. I work a full-time job outside of blogging and Instagram. To give a little insight, it’s a job where I’m mostly on my feet all day, speaking constantly, and has very long hours. I don’t mind it though. It pays the bills and keeps me occupied. Anyways, lately I’ve been noticing such a drag in my energy and mood. The past weeks have been rough meaning I wake up late, have no motivation, and can barely work through my shifts. It’s exhausting really.

I knew there had to be a better way. There had to be something I could do differently. That’s when this idea came to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I didn’t ever drink water. I did, a lot of it. I just didn’t drink it consistently. I would drink water on the contingency of three scenarios. The first, if I was thirsty (obviously). The second, when I had a pounding headache. The third, during work outs or when I was at work wandering around. It wasn’t a regular human water schedule. You get me?

To prep you for what is to come, I’ll tell you the new way I began doing things. My goal from the beginning of this experiment was to drink at least, four bottles a day. If I drank more…great! But the goal was four. The schedule was a bottle with coffee in the morning, a bottle at lunch, a bottle after lunch, and one for dinner or the gym.

The beginning strides were easy. I even started drinking more than my original goal. I found myself refilling frequently. It never felt forced to drink more, which was a good thing!

After the first week, I already started seeing results. I felt more upbeat and refreshed. The water, in a way, gave me encouragement to work out more too. My skin was clearing up and stopped being so dry. I was impressed with what I had seen thus far and ultimately couldn’t wait to see what drinking more water each day could do.

The next goal was six to eight bottles a day. I know right?! Sounds like a ton but after a whole week of feeling like a camel, I truly didn’t mind the challenge. At this point, the results got even better.

Not only did my skin clear up completely, I also started to see a small weight loss! Of course, this was mixed with some physical activity. Even so, I think the water had a part in speeding the process up. Speaking of weight loss, the water I was drinking started curving my appetite. I stopped being hungry all the time and found eating normal meals at normal times made me full enough. That’s something I haven’t felt in a long time!

Overall, I’m now on week three of drinking water non-stop. It’s insane how great I feel. I’m keeping up with my workouts and staying active on a daily basis. Pretty much all thanks to my new found addiction. Doesn’t that sound silly? Addicted to water? The Lazy Girl Guide: Step Up Your Spring Outfits

Like I mentioned in my last post, Spring is here! I’m thinking we all already knew this though. Right or wrong? Wherever you live in the world, I hope this Spring season is treating you nicely. Here in Illinois, what I thought was going to be a few sunny months turned into a weather roller coaster. Our days have been full of rain in the morning, cloudy around noon, sunny by dinner time and freezing by night. It’s nuts!

Since we’ve had a select handful of really great 70 degree afternoons, I thought I’d touch-base on a few more easy ways to bump up your outfits. I know I spoke a little bit about this throughout my last couple posts, but hey…you can never have too many tips. Ya feel? These essentials have helped me run out the door faster, look nicer, and are so effortless I’m convinced you guys can pull them off too.

Sally Hansen XTreme Wear Nail Polish

Holy crap, this stuff is magical. I’m the type of person who the majority of the time has gotta have their nails painted. I just feel naked without a good coat on. My dilemma though is how quickly I go through a set. My gels tend to last a little over a week to two weeks. Even still, I need to go back and get them done again no matter what. That’s about $40 bucks out of my pocket each visit. $80 a month if the polish lasts the full two weeks! That’s so much extra money a person could have!

Recently, I started looking for another option. I tried my DIY gel nails at home. I even purchased the UV light and some pricey polishes. The whole thing turned into a huge disaster. The colors I chose stayed on so long that by the time I was ready for them to come off, it took 45 minutes of soaking in acetone to do so. It was miserable and I quickly went back to square one.

This is where Sally Hansen comes in! I browsed the aisles at Target and found the brand. They promised a long-lasting nail look and was under $6 bucks. How could I say no? That’s not even the best part. Once I applied the color, I let it dry fully and went on with my day. I was amazed to find that the polish wasn’t chipping, it wasn’t sticky, and it seemed to be holding up through my errands!

Here’s a small tip for you all, the product works best when only two coats are applied! Applying a clear seal to the nails will make the polish more vulnerable to conditions. At least that’s what I’ve noticed! Regardless, I continue to use this on the daily. It’s quick and extremely easy!

Silver And Gold

Jewelry can make or break an outfit. Without it, the look may seem incomplete. Too much, can come off as gaudy. Here’s what I do: light jewelry but accessorizing with pieces I love. For me, this includes my engagement + wedding ring, stud earrings, and maybe a dainty necklace. I like to show off what matters most. Memories, love, and style.

One of my favorites have been these porcelain earrings from ASH. They’re the perfect size so they don’t aggravate my ears (I always have issues with this). Tunics, Tunics, Tunics + Big T’s

One word…simple. Nothing says, “I want to be poppin on a Friday night but still be able to fall asleep afterwards” than a tunic. I purchased a ton of them recently and just can’t get enough. The idea of being completely comfortable while running around makes me so happy. These are so affordable too and can be found virtually anywhere. If a blouse style isn’t your first choice, try grabbing an over-sized t-shirt! If it’s really big, tie a knot on one side! Throw on a pair of leggings, vans or converse, and you’re ready to roll!

Pins

My last wardrobe tip for lazy ladies are pins! I’ve always carried around a plain black bag. I’m not a pattern person at all and would rather have neutral tones. However, that’s not to say a girl doesn’t want an accessory to stand-out every once in a while. That’s where these guys come in! I love to add them to my bag strap for a more edgy vibe. It shows my personality without being too overwhelming.
