5 Ways To Slay 2018

Over the weekend I came to the realization that I’ve just got, for lack of a better term, a lot of crap going on. And not in the good type of way where I’m doing a million things I love, more like there are so many things still in the way from last year that I need to get rid of. Bad habits, procrastination, and so many other things have got to go!

Below are a few easy ways you can make changes this January without spending too much time or effort! Read on for more!

Clear The Email

The holidays have got me slacking and slacking hard. Today I looked at my email and saw the number…753. Like what?! Take a few minutes everyday to purge unwanted memos or subscriptions from your inbox. You could even go as far as categorizing the important emails into folders but that’s up to you! You’ll feel 10x better after that mail icon has no numbers next to it.

Yoga

I’ve been totally on edge lately and extremely stressed out. But working my body and staying active has helped balance out those crazy days.

Pick up some cheap yoga equipment at Target or Amazon and get going. The focus on breathing and controlled movements will take your mind off of whatever else is happening in your life. It’s helped me loads!

Give Up Your Addiction

Okay, addiction can mean a lot of things to many people but for me, my “addiction” was coffee. Now I’m not saying I gave up coffee all together but I’ve definitely cut down since beginning the 1st day of the year.

Instead, find a healthier, wiser, or more productive alternative to whatever your go-to may be. It doesn’t have to be a permanent switch, just an experiment to see if your quality of life changes!

Go To The Doctor

I recently had to get over my fear of hospitals and doctors when I went in for strep last week. It sucked but I learned a lot about myself from the experience. Sounds silly, but most of us don’t go to the doctor until something is wrong. I encourage all of you to visit your family doctor on a regular basis! You’ll feel better afterwards and may find out things you were oblivious to!

Change Things You Don’t Like

This year, I have no patience for negativity and unnecessary drama. If someone or something is causing you stress and anxiety…drop it from your life!
