From my own experiences, being confident means feeling empowered and motivated. More importantly, confidence guarantees to give me the extra tiny bit of courage I frequently need to navigate life a little better. It’s almost like this unheard of super power you can gain!
In today’s post, I wanted to talk about confidence and the different ways I’ve been able to build up my own. I’m hoping some of you can relate! As always, I love to hear your feedback so don’t be afraid to comment below or grab my attention on social media!
I think throughout high school I struggled a lot with finding my voice. I didn’t really know what I was passionate about or what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. At that age, for some reason, I assumed I should’ve had all the answers. I very quickly learned after graduating that not knowing gave me more of a motivation to learn and grow.
Focusing on what made me a happy person became more important than anything else. I started thinking for myself and not for the benefit of others. I was taking good care of my mind and body. By doing this, I naturally became more composed and realized being the best me I could be gave me all the confidence in the world. Feels good to feel good.
Stop Being Afraid
Taking the plunge into a new endeavor or choosing riskier options can be scary. Even so, doing those things can reward you with so much knowledge and closure. Make mistakes, give chances, and let yourself go. By doing that, you can branch out and get away from your comfort zones.
Once you’ve got a handle on life, take it by the horns. Roll with the punches and prove everyone wrong. Make the changes they said you couldn’t. Earn that degree they told you you’d never get. Create something without the help of anyone else. Giving people a reason to watch your next move will boost the confidence you’re starting to gain!
Focus On You
Like I said before, falling completely in love with who you are is okay. Forget the opinions of everyone else and concentrate on what you’ve worked so hard for. Whatever that may be! Confidence is noticed when someone radiates their talents and contributions. Don’t be afraid to make yourself the focal point.
Lastly, a great way to stay confident is to spread positive vibes towards others. Make a difference in someone else’s life and recognize when someone may need a little confidence too. Think of fun activities to do with friends or family. Get outside, volunteer, inspire, give compliments, share stories, or spend time with the people around you just because.
